Individuals

Are you a natural helper, healer or innovator?

You are in the right place.

Many of the people I work with learned at a young age to be there for others first. As a result, they have a much harder time locating and tending to their own needs, and they often feel stuck in various areas of their lives.

Finding your needs is a big step, but asserting your needs might also be challenging. The task can feel frightening, selfish or uncaring. People in your life might not welcome such assertions, easily sending you back to the more familiar task of caring for others in a way that denies yourself. You might feel as if there is simply no room for your needs, leading you to avoid the issue entirely, for fear of disappointment.

I help people practice keeping their needs in focus.

I have worked with people struggling with anxiety, depression, dislocation, grief, trauma, relationship issues, work issues and codependency.

I have worked with a diverse group of clients, in terms of ethnicity, age, socio-economic status, religious affiliation, gender identity, and sexual orientation.

Couples

Are you in a relationship?

Are you experiencing tension in your relationship? Have you tried many things and something just feels stuck?

You are in the right place.

I offer guidance, perspective and an environment for practicing deep communication. I am committed to supporting the growth of you as a couple as well as the growth of you as an individual in a couple.

In this work, I draw upon my background in mediation, facilitation and conflict resolution.

I have experience working with gay and straight couples.

Helping and Healing Professionals

Are you a professional helper or healer?

You are in the right place.

I have worked with many individuals who work in the many varied helping professions.

When you spend your days caring for the needs of others, finding the time and motivation to put self-care into practice may be challenging. You may also feel isolated.

I enjoy working with helping professionals, helping you to flourish while doing the work we all love.

Parents

Are you a parent?

You are in the right place.

I have worked with many parents throughout their journey of parenthood to carve out a special self-care haven to refuel and take care of themselves.

It is exceptionally difficult for even the most high-functioning adults to care for their own needs while simultaneously caring for the needs of their children.

It is nevertheless absolutely essential to take care of yourself in order to be a parent.

In this work, I draw upon my background working at TALKLine Family Support Center (now Safe and Sound) in San Francisco. TALKline is a most nurturing place. One of its main principles is that self care is a pre-requisite and co-requisite to caring for others. Parents need a space to share all of their emotions; feeling supported, they are better equipped to offer the continuous care that parenting requires. This philosophy is at the core of how I work with parents.
