Are you a parent?
You are in the right place.
I have worked with many parents throughout their journey of parenthood to carve out a special self-care haven to refuel and take care of themselves.
It is exceptionally difficult for even the most high-functioning adults to care for their own needs while simultaneously caring for the needs of their children.
It is nevertheless absolutely essential to take care of yourself in order to be a parent.
In this work, I draw upon my background working at TALKLine Family Support Center in San Francisco. TALKline is a most nurturing place. One of its main principles is that self care is a pre-requisite and co-requisite to caring for others. Parents need a safe space to share all of their emotions; feeling supported, they are better equipped to offer the continuous care that parenting requires. This philosophy is at the core of how I work with parents.
